Youth Averted from Delinquency Mentoring (YAD Mentoring)
Overview
This program provides mentorship services as a form of detention diversion and youth reconnection in Kerr county by providing specialized mentorship support using evidence-based practices to help youth build family-based resilience, mitigate trauma-related behavior and meaningfully connect with a network of safe adults.
Eligibility
Mentors must be 18 or older, complete application, undergo a background check and complete 30 hours of training. Mentors must also meet with youth once a month and commit for a year of mentoring
