Healthy Start Tyler (HST)

The primary goal is to reduce infant mortality and maternal morbidity. The program seeks to improve healthy outcomes before, during and after pregnancy, as well as, reduce racial and ethnic differences in rates of infant deaths and negative maternal health outcomes.

Assesses readiness for independent living and utilizes an experiential activities based curriculum to teach independent living life skills. Life skills are taught through a series of training classes providing youth with the fundamental skills needed to live independently in adulthood.
